Erstwhile chef of small repute, Salford-born JP plied his trade for more than thirty years in various kitchens in Florence, Barcelona, Los Angeles and Paris. What little skin he had left, he gleefully shed during the pandemic, finally swapping out the pan for the pen and exploding in a flurry of ideas, which culminated in this, his debut novel, a movie of the same name and the much-anticipated feature 1066 The Battle for England. J. P. has two teenage boys and hides out down on the UK’s south coast with his fishing rod and what’s left of his sense of humor.
