Submissions Information
Melange is a royalty-paying company e-books (digital formats) and print books. We pay authors 40% net royalties on digital formats and 10% on print. We are actively seeking submissions for the genres listed below.Melange Books, LLC, acquires for all of the following novel and novella genres:
Romance, sweet, sensual and erotic western, science fiction, horror, contemporary, chic-lit, men's fiction, women's general fiction, adventure, speculative, action, drama, gay, lesbian, urban fantasy, paranormal, cross-genres, urban fantasy, young adult, mainstream fiction, and Non-Fiction.

Fire and Ice, Melange Book, LLC's, YA imprint, is seeking stories from 10,000-20,000 words long to be released in individual e-book format.
Fire and Ice is also seeking Horse novellas and novels, from 40,000 words – 60,000 words in length to be released in ebook and in print in trade paperback format.

Whoever said chic lit was 'dead' in the water was wrong. Readers love this genre and Melange is actively seeking short stories to publish and sell as e-books for .99 each. Chick lit is fiction which addresses issues of modern womanhood in a humorous and light-hearted way. Although it sometimes includes romantic elements, chick lit is generally not considered a direct subcategory of the romance novel genre, because the heroine's relationship with her family or friends is often just as important as her romantic relationships.
Stories should be between 9,000-20,000 words

Be sure and type name, email address, and other contact information on first page of your manuscript. Please include manuscript title, word count, and genre
Be aware. Melange publishes erotica, not porn. Know the difference. We do not accept any defaming and nauseating things such as incest, underage characters in illegal and immoral situations, or anything non-consensual or of a violently graphic nature.
Please include heat level: Sweet, Sensual, Hot, Scorching
Shorts are published in e-book format only-under 40,000 words, unless included within an anthology, which are available in print format.
Print works are 40,000 words and above.
Please send only first three chapters of a novel, novella or complete short story if under 15,000 words. Also send a short 25-50 word blurb and a short synopsis of your story or novel. If any manuscript does not adhere to these guidelines, we will not read it, but will reject. We love working with both new and established authors.
